After thirty years in technology and adult learning, working in International and Indigenous communities, Wendy has returned to her first passion of creating with textile and mixed media. Drawing from her past experiences of engaging head, heart, and hands in the creative process of learning, Wendy discovered the role that curiosity and exploration brings to self-driven awareness and expression.
Fast forward to ‘today’… Wendy finds her strength and inspiration through solo work and through engaging the textile community. Both in the studio and the classroom, the underlying vision in her work is to embed ‘fibre, heart and story’ into every piece; to make meaning through the intentional flow of needle and thread, to increase awareness and appreciation of sustainable natural fibres; promote the local fibre community; and advocate for the slow cloth/slow fashion movement.
From creative stitched artwork, to unique ready to wear and bespoke clothing pieces, you will find Wendy working out of her Three Stone Soup Fibre Studio, Lund BC.
