I am a representational artist who paints landscapes, florals, figure and everyday items. I paint from life with spirit and emotion to celebrate life. I work in oils and mixed media and am inspired to paint beautiful things, especially nature. When I feel an emotional connection to something I’ll want to paint it, motivated to represent both the ‘something’ and my feelings toward the subject with the intention of creating a fine balance in painting with emotion and atmosphere. My work demonstrates the inspiring connection and response to my surroundings and aligns with Contemporary Realism. I paint both ‘en plein air’ and in my studio. My goal is for people to feel good when looking at my paintings. I am a passionate art educator and offer group and private painting classes in oil and acrylic.
