Bert Finnamore – Plants and wood have always held a fascination for me. I discovered wood turning as I approached retirement and have been busy at it ever since. The challenge of producing a pleasing form that invites the viewers gaze while bringing out the best grain from a piece of wood provides endless satisfaction. My workshop/studio is located in Powell River, but my work is sold throughout North America through my company Lignum Pacifica (meaning “wood peace”), or at local craft fairs. When I am not working at my lathe I tend an extensive garden and a small collection of orchids and aroid plants.
